In 2006 Freddy Sanchez was inserted into the everyday lineup for the first time in his career and has never looked back. Freddy went on to win the National League batting title with a .344 average and led the league with 53 doubles.
An All-Star in 2006, 2007 and 2009, Freddy was traded to the San Francisco Giants on July 29th of 2009. Despite battling a series of injuries, in 2010 Freddy helped lead the Giants to their first World Series championship since moving to San Francisco.
On April 1, 2011, Sanchez reached an extension with the Giants that will keep him in San Francisco through the 2012 season.
